JEE Main 2026 Registration, Dates, Syllabus & Eligibility Criteria - NTA

Age Information

• There is no upper age limit for JEE Main eligibility.

Educational Qualification

• Must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) in 2024, 2025, or appearing in 2026, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Minimum Marks

• 75% marks in Class 12 (65% for SC/ST) for admission to IITs/NITs/IIITs/GFTIs.

Age Limit

• No age limit.

Number of Attempts

• Six attempts allowed over three consecutive years. Candidates may appear in both January and April sessions each year.

Subject Combination

• Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are compulsory.

Other

• Check individual institutes for any additional eligibility criteria.

• Online Submission of Application Form: 31 October 2025 to 27 November 2025 (Up to 09:00 PM)
• Last date for Application Fee: 27 November 2025 (Up to 11:50 PM)
• Correction in Particulars: Will be displayed on the NTA website
• City Intimation Slip: First Week of January 2026 (Tentatively)
• Dates of Examination: 21 January 2026 to 30 January 2026 (Session 1); 2 April 2026 to 9 April 2026 (Session 2)
• Result Declaration: By 12 February 2026 (Session 1); By 20 April 2026 (Session 2)

Application Fees (Per Candidate)

• General/OBC (Non-C creamy Layer):
  • Male: ₹1,000; International (Outside India): $50 USD
  • Female: ₹800; International (Outside India): $50 USD
• SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender:
  • Male: ₹500; International (Outside India): $50 USD
  • Female: ₹500; International (Outside India): $50 USD

Payment modes: UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking. Refund status: Not refundable.
