General Information

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) is the apex national institution for disaster management in India. The NDMA is responsible for laying down policies, plans, and guidelines for disaster management and coordinating related activities across national, state, and district levels.

Job Nature and Deliverables

• Nature of Job: Individual Consultant engaged for a temporary period
• Duration: 3 months 29 days
• Key Deliverables: Data collection and field work in informal settlements, stakeholder interactions, surveys and data analysis, and preparation of reports and drafts for the final technical report.

Competencies and Reporting

• Competencies: Strong data collection, field coordination, and analytical writing skills; ability to work independently
• Reporting: Directly to the Director (PR&AG)

Contract and Termination

• The engagement is temporary and may be terminated with notice as per NDMA policies.
