Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years for all Project Scientist-I posts. Relaxations as per Government of India norms for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC NCL) where applicable.

PS-I Post Qualifications

PS-I-01

• Bachelor of Engineering/Technology in Electronics and Communication or equivalent, from a recognized university/AICTE, with at least 60% marks.
• Desirable: Minimum two years post-qualification experience in operation/maintenance/management of satellite, radio, HF/VHF communications or related data acquisition with scientific instruments for atmospheric/meteorological research; familiarity with inventory management/ERP software.

PS-I-02

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks.
• Desirable: M.E./M.Tech in a relevant field; two years experience in developing scientific web applications, databases, and Linux/Python/Django.

PS-I-03

• Master’s Degree in Physics/Applied Physics/Atmospheric Sciences/Earth Sciences or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks.
• Desirable: Two years experience in operation/maintenance/handling of scientific instruments or atmospheric/meteorological/oceanographic data collection and analysis.

PS-I-04

• Master’s degree in Earth/Chemical/Environmental Sciences or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in Chemical Technology/Chemical Engineering with at least 60% marks.
• Desirable: Two years relevant R&D experience in geochemistry/hydrochemistry/isotope geochemistry; experience in polar field expeditions and laboratory studies using instruments such as ICP-MS.

PS-I-05

• Master’s Degree in Geology/Applied Geology/Earth Sciences/Geological Sciences/Marine Geology or equivalent OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant subject with at least 60% marks.
• Desirable: Two years experience in petrology/ore geology/structural geology/isotopic studies; EPMA/IRMS experience; marine expeditions and sample analysis; publications in peer-reviewed journals.

Overall eligibility notes

• All posts require a minimum of 60% marks in the qualifying degree (where specified).
• Age limits and relaxations as applicable for SC/ST/OBC (NCL) and EWS categories per Government norms.

• Registration Time for Walk-in: 08:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on 15/12/2025

• The post is on a temporary contract basis under a project mode; initial engagement is for one year and may be extended based on performance and project requirements or co-terminus with the project.

• Candidates must carry original certificates and a set of self-attested copies; government/PSU employees must bring No Objection Certificate or experience certificate from their employer.
