Eligibility

Educational Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Science OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology. PhD holders in the relevant field will get preference.

Essential Qualifications

• Indian nationality.
• Proficient in English for reporting and communication.

Experience

• More than 5 to 10 years of relevant experience with government or non-governmental organizations in India in the fields of environment, sustainable development, and natural resources management, with good knowledge of UNCCD/UNFCCC/CBD.

General Terms

• Posts are contractual and temporary; initial tenure up to three years (1+1+1), extendable up to two additional years based on performance.
• Consultants are eligible for 1.5 paid leave days per completed month (maximum 18 days/year).
• Compliance with the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923 is required.
• Selected candidates must provide integrity certificates from two references and a self-declaration of no criminal record.

Selection Process

• Selection will be through an interview. The department reserves the right to call any number of applicants for interview.
• No TA/DA will be admissible for the interview or joining the assignment.
