The Indian Army has announced recruitment for 30 Technical Graduate Course (TGC 143) posts for 2025. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech or M.Sc qualifications are eligible to apply online. Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or be in their final year of an Engineering Degree course to be eligible to apply.
  • Candidates studying in the final year of an engineering degree course should be able to submit proof of passing the Engineering Degree Examination, along with marksheets of all semesters/years, by July 1, 2026. They must also produce the Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA).
  • Such candidates will be inducted on an Additional Bond Basis for recovery of the cost of training at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) (as notified from time to time), as well as any stipend and pay & allowances paid, in case they fail to produce the requisite degree certificate.

Selection Process

Shortlisting of Applications

  • The Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to shortlist applications based on the vacancy to call-up ratio for each Engineering discipline/stream without assigning any reason.
  • Candidates' cumulative percentage of marks up to the 6th semester/3rd year of an Engineering degree, up to the 8th semester/4th year of B. Architecture (B.Arch), and up to the 2nd semester/1st year of M.Sc in the notified equivalent stream/discipline should not be below the approved cutoff percentage in their respective streams.
  • After the declaration of final results, the cumulative percentage of marks up to the final semester/year of the degree course must also not be less than the approved cutoff percentage; failing this, the candidature will be cancelled.

Allotment of Selection Centre

  • After shortlisting, the center allotment will be intimated to candidates via email.
  • After allotment of a Selection Centre, candidates must log in to the website and select their SSB dates, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis initially.
  • Thereafter, dates will be allotted by the Selection Centres. The option to select dates for SSB by candidates may be forfeited due to the occurrence of any exceptional circumstances/events.

Joining Pre-Commission Training Academy (PCTA)

  • Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a Joining Letter for training in order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available, subject to meeting all eligibility criteria.

How to Apply

  • Applications will only be accepted online through the website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.
  • Click on ‘Officer Entry Apply/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ (Registration is not required if already registered on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in).
  • Fill out the online registration form after carefully reading the instructions.
  • After registering, click on ‘Apply Online’ under the Dashboard. A page titled ‘Officers Selection ‘Eligibility’ will open.
  • Then click ‘Apply’ next to Technical Graduate Course. An ‘Application Form’ page will open.
  • Read the instructions carefully and click ‘Continue’ to fill in the required details under various segments: Personal Information, Communication Details, Education Details, and details of previous SSB.
  • Click ‘Save & Continue’ each time before proceeding to the next segment. After filling details on the last segment, you will move to a page titled ‘Summary of your information’, where you can check and edit the entries made.
  • Only after confirming the correctness of your details, click on ‘Submit’.
  • Candidates must click on ‘Submit’ each time they open the application for editing any details.
  • Candidates are required to take out two copies of their application, bearing the Roll Number, 30 minutes after the final closure of the online application on the last day.
