Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years for unreserved (UR) candidates. Relaxation is available as per Government of India norms for SC/ST/OBC and women candidates.

Essential Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree in Material Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a Master’s degree in the same fields, or a related technology from a recognized university or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience in research and development in industrial or academic settings, or in a research and technology organization.

Desirable Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with advanced mechanical characterization instruments (e.g., Universal Tribometer, Micro Hardness Tester, Dynamic Mechanical Analyzer).
• Experience in sample preparation, microstructural studies, and surface treatment techniques.
• Familiarity with thermal, fatigue, and creep testing protocols.
• Sound understanding of ASTM/ISO testing standards.

• The candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and analyzing data from advanced mechanical characterization instruments.
