The Indian Navy's air defense capabilities have received a big boost. The Indian Navy has commissioned the first Tata-manufactured Lanza-N 3D air surveillance radar. This radar is a naval version of the Lanza 3D system from the Spanish company Indra, which Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) built and integrated in India under a $145 million deal in 2020. This is a historic achievement in the direction of self-reliance and indigenization in the defense sector.

The Indian Navy commissioned INS Aravali in Gurugram (Haryana) on September 12, 2025. On this occasion, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) was the chief guest. The All India Army Camp 2025, one of the most prestigious events in the calendar of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) in India, successfully concluded on September 11, 2025, at DGNCC Camp, Delhi Cantt. In this 12-day camp, 1,547 cadets from all 17 NCC directorates across the country participated. A historic achievement has been recorded in the field of wildlife conservation in India. The Manipur Zoological Garden (MZG), in collaboration with the India Turtle Conservation Program (ITCP), has successfully carried out the artificial incubation of Asian Giant Tortoise (Manouria emys phayrei) for the first time. In 2025, 28 hatchlings emerged from a single nest, which is a big step in the conservation of this endangered species.


The National Statistical Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MOSPI) will conduct two major national surveys between July 2026 and June 2027 – the All India Debt and Investment Survey (AIDIS) and the Agricultural Household Situation Assessment Survey (SAS). Both these surveys are part of the National Sample Survey (NSS) and have been a major tool for understanding India's socio-economic structure since 1950.
