Age Details

Educational Qualifications by Post

Senior Ship Draftsman (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation)

• Three-year Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline from the State Board of Technical Education with a minimum of 60% marks
• Minimum two years post-qualification experience as a Ship Draftsman or Draftsman in a shipyard, engineering company, ship design company, government or semi-government organization
• Desirable: Experience in 3D modeling software like Tribon, CADMATIC, or CAD software

Junior Technical Assistant (Mechanical)

• Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with at least 60% marks
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in installation and commissioning of mechanical systems in shipyards or engineering companies
• Desirable: Experience in HVAC, Fire Fighting Systems, Cranes, Air Compressors, Pumps, Piping systems

Junior Technical Assistant (Electrical)

• Three-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with at least 60% marks
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in installation and commissioning of electrical systems
• Desirable: Experience in PLC/SCADA/DCS systems, HT/LT switchgear panels, power management systems

Junior Technical Assistant (Electronics)

• Three-year Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with at least 60% marks
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in installation and commissioning of control and electronic systems
• Desirable: Experience in electronics systems manufacturing, microprocessor-based embedded systems, wireless communication systems

Junior Technical Assistant (Civil)

• Three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 60% marks
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in civil construction and maintenance of infrastructure projects; computer savvy

Junior Technical Assistant (Instrumentation)

• Three-year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with at least 60% marks
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in instrumentation works in shipyards or engineering companies; computer savvy

Laboratory Assistant (Mechanical)

• Essential: Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering with at least 60% marks
• Desirable: Radiographer Certificate Level-1 from BARC or PCN/ISNT/ASNT Level II in four NDT methods
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in Testing Laboratory or Quality Control

Laboratory Assistant (Chemical)

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc) in Chemistry with at least 60% marks
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in metal/water/oil/fuel/paint testing labs (preferably NABL accredited)
• Desirable: Experience with instruments like Optical Emission Spectrometer, Mass Spectrometer, Gas Chromatograph

Storekeeper

• Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management OR Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in storekeeping in shipyards or related fields
• Desirable: Exposure to materials management and ERP packages

Assistant

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (except Fine Arts/Performing Arts) or Science or Commerce or Computer Applications or Business Administration with at least 60% marks
• Minimum four years post-qualification experience in office work, ERP systems, data entry, and record maintenance in relevant organizations
• Desirable: Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Tally, SAP

Important Note: Applicants with higher qualifications (e.g., B.Tech, M.Sc) without the prescribed diploma qualification may not be considered.

Salary and Benefits

• Pay scale: W6 (Rs. 22,500 basic; total Rs. 41,055) and W7 (Rs. 23,500 basic; total Rs. 42,773)

Selection Process

• Senior Ship Draftsman: Phase I Online Test (70 marks, 75 min); Phase II CAD-based Practical Test (30 marks); minimum passing marks apply per category.
• Other posts: Part I Online Test (70 marks, 75 min); Part II Descriptive Test (30 marks, 60 min).
