Age Limit (as on 01-01-2025)

• Deputy Superintendent of Police (State Police Service) and general posts: 21 to 30 years, with relaxations up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) of Chhattisgarh and other category-based relaxations.
• Local/native residents of Chhattisgarh: maximum age up to 35 years, with additional relaxation up to 45 years including applicable relaxations.
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities: 5 years relaxation in maximum age as per RPwD Act 2016 and relevant government notifications.

Educational Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification as per rules.
• Candidates appearing in the final qualifying examination may apply for Preliminary Examination, but must produce proof of passing the required degree before the Main Examination/within the prescribed time.
• Qualifications deemed equivalent by the State Government are also eligible.

Local/Reserved Criteria

• For reserved category benefits (SC/ST/OBC non-creamy layer, PwD, women, ex-servicemen, etc.), candidates must be local/native residents of Chhattisgarh and possess valid certificates.
• Some posts require meeting specific physical standards as prescribed.

Application Fee

• For CG residents belonging to SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), and Persons with Disabilities: Rs. 300
• For all other categories and applicants from outside Chhattisgarh: Rs. 400
• Additional portal fee, GST, and payment gateway charges apply. Only online payment is accepted. Bank drafts/cheques are not accepted.
• Refund of examination fee is applicable to eligible local residents of Chhattisgarh on online refund request within 10 days of the exam/interview; portal fee, correction charges, and other taxes are non-refundable.
