• PG Diploma/Degree in Journalism/Mass Media or a fresh graduate with a minimum of 2 years of journalistic experience.

Desirable qualifications

• Experience in electronic news coverage.

• Journalistic experience is desirable, particularly for candidates serving in difficult or border areas such as the North-Eastern states.

Recruitment Process and Instructions

• Engagement of Part-Time Correspondents (PTCs) will be on a contractual retainer basis.
• Initial engagement will be for three months, with monthly renewal during this period. If performance is satisfactory, contracts may be renewed yearly up to the age of 60, subject to satisfactory performance.
• Persons already in government service, in any Public Sector Undertaking, or members of political parties will not be considered for engagement as PTCs.
• PTCs should reside in or within 10 km of the district headquarters in the concerned district.

How to Apply

• Applications for engagement of PTCs for the districts of Chumoukedima, Longleng, Meluri, Mon, Noklak, Peren, Phek, Shamator, Tuensang, Tseminyu and Zunheboto should be submitted on or before 15 days from the date of publication, using the prescribed application form and including full bio-data, self-attested copies of certificates, testimonials, and a photograph, to the Head of Office, Akashvani, Old Minister's Hill, Kohima, Nagaland, PIN 797001.
